A moody, symmetrical interior space features tall, vertically elongated wooden panels with pointed bases arranged within a semicircular concrete alcove. The materials are minimal and tactile: dark-stained wood for the vertical structures and smooth, matte concrete for the surrounding architecture. The space is lit with soft, ambient light that enhances the depth and texture of the materials, casting gentle shadows and giving the environment a solemn, contemplative atmosphere.

The idea behind this series of digital drawings is that I continually draw over the previous drawing. That's why you can see common elements between them, this principle allows me to keep a coherence.

The image is black and white and features a geometric, architectural composition. A large rectangular frame surrounds the scene, like a doorway or window. Inside, there is a tall arch with a structured design, including circular and rectangular cutouts. Several thin frames hang in the center, layered in a way that creates depth. The floor is dark, with small lights leading towards the back, where a dome-like shape sits on top of a rectangular base. The overall feel is quiet and structured, with a balance of light and shadow giving it a somewhat atmospheric quality.

Grandir au bord de la Loire laisse des traces... celles d'ambiances, de vents, de paysages, d'eaux tourmentées ou étales, de bancs de sable si caractéristiques, d'oiseaux joueurs comme les sternes ou patients et immobiles comme les hérons guettant leurs proies... Lorsque je retourne en Touraine, repérer les silhouettes d'embarcations à fond plat - gabares, chalands, fûtreaux, toues... - confirme alors que ça y est, j'y suis bien, sur ces rives ligériennes !

Growing up on the banks of the Loire leaves its mark... on the atmosphere, the winds, the landscapes, the tormented or flat waters, the characteristic sandbanks, the playful birds like the terns or the patient, motionless herons stalking their prey... When I return to Touraine, spotting the silhouettes of flat-bottomed boats - "gabares", "chalands", "fûtreaux", "toues"... - confirms that this is it, I'm there, on the banks of the Loire!

(English follows) Photographie noir et blanc, format portrait, ratio 2x3. En contrebas d'une levée herbeuse positionnée sur le coin droit de l'image, la Loire occupe la moitié de l'image. L'horizon marque la séparation entre le fleuve et le ciel d'été (cumulus de chaleurs), autour de petites forêts situées sur l'autre rive. Un banc de sable se découpe sur l'eau. Au premier plan, au bas d'un petit escalier de terre et bois que l'on devine, deux embarcations typiques de la navigation sur la Loire sont amarrées. Toutes deux en bois, avec un mât au bout duquel flottent des fanions, l'une d'entre elles a une petite cabane. Un peu plus loin au pied de la levée, une barque à fond plat (une "plate") est également amarrée.

Both made of wood, with a mast at the end of which float pennants, one of them has a small cabin. A little further along, at the foot of the levee, a flat-bottomed barque (a “plate”) is also moored.
