La bibliothèque virtuelle du Train World, le musée national des chemins de fer Belges où l'on trouve numérisé pas mal de littérature ferroviaire et notamment les excellents ouvrages rédigés par Mr. Vandenberghen, ingénieur SNCB, qui publia dans les années 1980 sur l'électrification du réseau et le matériel moteur électrique.

1. The virtual library of Train World, the national museum of Belgian railways where you can find a lot of railway literature and in particular the excellent works written by Mr. Vandenberghen, an SNCB engineer, who published in the 1980s on the electrification of the network and rolling stock.

Les trains BeNeLux

1. La version actuelle des trains BeNeLux qui devraient céder leur place aux nouvelles rames ICNG des Nederlandse Spoorwegen : rame de voitures IC-R des NS encadrée par deux "Traxx". (photo de novembre 2024 à Bruxelles-Midi)

2. Emmené par une locomotive série 11, la version "1986) avec rame réversible de voitures IC-R. Au départ, toutes les voitures étaient en livrée bordeaux/jaune pour s'accorder à la machine. Cela symbolisait la coopération entre SNCB et NS. (photo de d'avril 2004 à Eppegem sur la ligne 25 Bruxelles - Antwerpen)

3. La voiture-pilote IC-R spécialement conçue pour les rames BeNeLux. (photo de février 2003 à Bruxelles-Chapelle - la gare du midi est à quelques centaines de mètres de là dans mon dos).

Now and then

The BeNeLux trains

1. The actual version of the BeNeLux train : a rack of Dutch IC-R coaching stock sandwiched by two Traxx Locomotives. They should be replaced by the new ICNG EMUs soon. (Picture in Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid in November 2024)

2. The 1986 version : a SNCB/NMBS locomotive class 11 with a rack of IC-R coaching stock with driving trailer at the end to operate in push-pull mode. In the beginning, the coaching stock was also in Bordeaux-red/yellow livery just like the locomotives to symbolise the cooperation between SNCB/NMBS and NS.(Photo taken in Eppegem on Line 25 Brussels - Antwerpen - April 2004).

3. The other side of the 1986 version : the driving trailer, especially constructed for the new BeNeLux trains in the 1980's. (Photo taken in Bruxelles-Chapelle/Brussel-Kapellekerk - the south Station is a few hundreds meter behind me - February 2003)
