draggable is in this week's codepen spark
Playing with some pattern-making algorithms, using the traditional Japanese 'asanoha' pattern as base to expand on.

I wrote a poem that can be read forward, backward, or in a loop:

I've been puttering around with this tiling on and off for weeks. Glad I finally sat down and finished it.
Counter-current #WCCChallenge
The #WCCChallenge this week was "space-filling algorithms", and the group had a ton of really good contributions.
I chose to create a diffusion limited aggregation system. It was something that I explored in my early code art days over 20 years ago, so it felt good to be able to whip up something much better in a fraction of the time. There are several variations, and it's fun to watch it slowly build up.

Genuary Day3: The gravity of thought
The topic for last week's #WCCChallenge was "obscure", the one that I suggested. It was a really good set of submissions. For mine, I spent Saturday playing around with different ways to obscure a white circle. I mostly combined elements from previous sketches, and fine tuned some oscillations. With the new shader-based blur and dilate filters, I was able to set up a cool slowly evolving animation. Here are four stills from it.
