I'm not sure if I'd characterize what this patient experienced in her ordeal with cancer as gaslighting, I think it was incompetence and negligence. However this is so very typical of American health care which is allegedly the best in the world. Now that's what I call gaslighting - giving you subpar treatment and calling it the best in the world.
