@EUCommission this is good reminder to all of us in the history that why privacy laws are there in the first place.

#ageverification just waits breach to happen, then this data can be abused or if bad actor has acccess.

Making chats #unencrypted and forcing apps to have backdoor leads to authoritanians and if some people disagree they will be chased down.

Privacy is #humanright and thus #ChatControl needs to be stopped.

Dont let the history repeat itself...

By signing the #petition and contacting your Labor MP, you've joined thousands of others calling for truth, transparency and accountability on #AUKUS.
This is #people power in action. Together, we're turning up the pressure from the outside to match the growing dissent from within Labor. That's how we build momentum for a full public inquiry — and a pathway out of this dangerous deal.

The reports of the Canadian fellow inmates of 10 months of incarceration for visa violations is a human rights violation going on under #Biden and #Trump.

Trump brings it to a new and crueler level but the US owns this on both sides of the aisle.

The US and slavery! Keep in mind that not working get inmates in isolation which is defined as torture. Those private for profit detentions are nothing but modern slave camps.

Good science as an alternative to bad science

To get the public on our side, we need to use the scientific as well as the moral argument against animal testing, both of which complement each other very strongly. Listen to Dr Andre Menache from Antidote Europe

@nickrauchen @josephinelee well, that's not exactly how it works.

  • #HealthcareInsurance also is about mitigating the greater damages that non-coverage would result into.

I.e. it's like a Fire Brigade, EMS & Hospital: Noone wants to have to use their services but tzey are essential infrastructure that reduce risks.

  • So even tho everyone gets covered, healthy and less worried citizens tend to be more productive and happier workers, who earn more and thus are able & willing to pay higher premiums.

Also #Healthcare is a #HumanRight and those ain't contingent on someone being able to make #profit!

The idea is simple: break #privacy in order to catch #criminals.

But whose to say #politicaldissidents and #whistleblowers aren't under threat? Not to mention #democracy as a whole.

What if #Putin and #Xi has access to all that communication, all those movements?

This is why I have said for a long while #Encryption should be a #HumanRight.

Tell your #EU reps that this is not helping.

#X operates in & generates profits within #Brazil. & it broke Brazil's laws.

On one hand, the judiciary is simply seeking some recourse to enforce their laws. This is commonplace & expected. X & #Musk have no leg to stand on.

But, is #blocking #domains an appropriate lever for #lawEnforcement to use?

I would argue it isn't. I believe #openInternet access should be a #humanRight. Restricting access always hurts the #disadvantaged.
