This is a classic example of optical correction for intersecting lines in font design.
To make the diagonal appear straight at the center of the cross, the type designer slightly breaks and shifts it inward.

Finding inspiration
When I learned that the surgery was coming up, I tried to write several posts in advance. I knew there would be days where I would not be able to write. And I didn’t want to crack my loooong daily posting streak (which almost happened a few days ago because I got lost in time due to an emergency surgery). So I worked ahead and thought that I had written enough to make due, until I was back on my feet again. But, faith took a nasty turn, and now I am struggling to write enough posts to keep my daily streak up.
I keep on coming back to the same topics, because they’re the ones that are “current” for me now. And I recon that this is becoming quite boring for you, the reader. So, I try to come up with different topics, and that’s quite a challenge at this point. I am struggling with my mental health, and it’s draining me… I know that not every post needs to be long and great. I know I can share a short one, from time to time, especially considering the circumstances… But it just feels… Wrong, somehow…
