Oof, this was harder than I thought!
I definitely learned a few lessons here. I made like 4 test prints on scrap paper, 1 on a different paper to test and 18 on the intended paper in about 3 hours
And not all of them are good. Some had way too much ink and some are splotchy. I will take a closer look tomorrow. For now the prints are drying and I'll go to bed.

It should get blacker during the next passes. But for now I will stop here since I need to do my chores too.
I could do the cutting all day long, it's so fun and relaxing. I'm happy with the result.
I wonder if I should keep the plate as it is or clean it though. I think I will print tomorrow.
Still wondering how many prints I should make.

I sketched this out yesterday and dreamed of crows last night. The last linocut I made was in school.

Hello little friend

I made a cute linocut and am endlessly fascinated by the difference paper, paint and other things make. Both prints are from the exact same lino block but one has so much more texture while the other is much cleaner way more even with the black paint.

I am quite happy with both versions of my feathered little friend.
