Mossy trees, in coastal temperate rainforest, by a quiet, isolated spot; beside a lovely, fish bearing creek. The air smells amazing in this natural environment

These emerald towers are only a few millimeters tall. After the rain, I walk past whole carpets of sparkling green moss, decorated with droplets. They glow with reflected light, even though it's evening and the sun is behind the trees.

Another photo from Wark Forest in #Northumberland yesterday. Close to the path, the ground was carpeted with these rolling mounds of moss. It was like a miniature landscape in its own right.
