In today's story we visit the site of one of Ireland's greatest tragedies...The Stardust Nightclub fire of 1981. This is a story of a long fight for justice, of the price of speaking out against authority, as well as, the many safety violations that came to light later. Blessings to all.

Daniels's first poetry reverie on life in Detroit in the 1970s and 1980s as the auto industry slows; not commentary, but nostalgic close-ups of characters and streets, poignant in its plainness and soot.

Not a happy music post today but then again, not all music history is happy, boppy history. This is one of those times. Enjoy but be forewarned, this post deals with violence and death and greed.

It was a very real place run by some of the most infamous New Yorkers of their day. My mom and dad went there in 1962. I am thankful that her name was not Lola! :)
