Days are quickly getting shorter
The number of #daylight hours are now steadily shrinking by 1 to more than 3 minutes per day depending on where you live in the Lower 48. Northern parts of the country lose daylight at a #faster #rate than southern parts. For example, #Portland, Ore., loses more than three #minutes of daylight per day through mid-#October, while #Miami loses about 1.5 minutes per day during the same period.

We all know about the New York minute (some say it’s 45 seconds).

But can we talk about the laundromat minute?
Put my coins in, pressed start and the timer read 28 minutes. I return in 32 and the machines still has 7 minutes remaining. Last time it was 35 minutes with 9 minutes remaining

Anyone know a #conversion #rate for #laundromats ?
I don’t wash large/heavy linens dog beds and area rugs at home. I use the large industrial machines. Does weight affect the cycle time? Too many #question

On a monthly basis #home sales fell 1.5% in December from the prior month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.02 million, the #weakest #rate since November 2010.

Among #NewMexico counties, Luna County has 11.1% #jobless #rate up significantly from the 9.4% rate in October. Sierra County is 5.1%, McKinley and Cibola (5%), Torrance (4.9%), Taos (4.7%), Mora (4.6%) and San Miguel (4.4%) counties. San Juan County rate is 4.3%. Los Alamos County had #lowest jobless rate at 1.7%, down from 2.1% a month earlier.
