I just got an old school dimpled joog. Wasn't expecting that.

Poor old @neonbubble is not feeling very well for tonight's board game night - hope he feels better soon.
I suppose I'll just have to start getting through the four pints of Flower Pots' 'Goodens Gold' that I bought yesterday without his assistance.
Ho hum...
Decanting my second ever batch of beer.
I think I overshot the aimed for Ruby Ale and this is a Strong Ale indeed - think of Old Peculiar or Old Thumper.
Despite a few brewing enthusiasts telling me not to boil with the lid on, I can't sense any negative impact on this beer. Look forward to see how it conditions in the bottles for our Summer BBQ in late August.
Theakston doing non-alcoholic ale now, Nowt Peculier, so giving it a try. Quite nice I can get several decent ales in non or very low alc versions now, used to be just lager or ciders.
Well, after a few hours of brewing, I thought I'd have a beer that I'm hoping will be similar to my brew.
Cranborne Poacher - Ruby Ale - 5.7%
By Badger - because they have musteline ales in Dorset apparently...

#introduction Hello! I'm a husband, father, and absent-minded spirit.
Born an engineer, I’ve journeyed through electronics and computing to web dev, with a love for old things—railways, canals, and ancient builds.
I volunteer as security at #CAMRA beer festivals across the UK; hard work, but fun watching crowds and enjoying leftover beer.

With only 2 days to go it would be remiss of me not to encourage you to buy shares in Hull's first community pub, right next to the New Theatre. We still need 22k to be able to make the upstairs wheelchair accessible...

I'm going up the George today.
For those of you not from Portsmouth, 'going up the George' is not a dodgy euphemism but rather walking up Portsdown Hill to one of the best old pubs in the area.
Having a couple of drinks with a work colleague.
Long time no Toot.
1) My wife is much better this week. She's eating and out of bed.
2) So much better in fact that I'm going out to the pub shortly.
3) Spring has definitely sprung here in Nottingham. The neighbour's kids are all out playing.
A x
Good afternoon,
1) I'm off to see an old school friend. We've been mates for 42 years!!!
2) I'm having a pint at the excellent #BrewTavern at Nottingham station before I set out.
3) Reading the excellent Groucho Marx autobiography.
@anon_opin I can't understand the love for IPAs generally. I've had to switch back to drinking lager at many pubs, after decades of drinking #RealAle, simply because there's no drinkable #beer any more.
In place to watch the Redmen in the fab White Lion #WestKirby with a local Hoylake brewed Brooks Brewery Founders English Cask Beer #WHULIV #LFC #realale #beer
Discovered this a few months ago. I may have 'discovered' it again twice already this evening. Hic.

Beer sundial - a sundale, perhaps?
Red, White and Blue
Almost time for a Fine Pint of Refreshing Ale (Other beverages are available)
It's nearly the weekend, we might not be due any blue sky, but that doesn't mean we can't go to the pub, cheers
I mean, dammit, did you ever see such beautiful product packaging. Strathcona Brewery rocks. I know the product and I just hope I can remember my address after a few. Strathcona Headbanger IPA.
Continuing to read while also reacquainting myself with an old friend, a pint of Deuchars.
Along with Caley 80, my go-to ale for many years.
Really not what it once was, supplanted by newer, better IPAs, but still decent enough pint. On draught in the local (for a mere£3.90!), so indulging in nostalgia. Or should that be "nostalegia"?
