For the 3rd entry of Poems for #NaPoWriMo / #NaPoGenMo 2025, the #Hydravideosynth code with aid from #OBS visualizes and distorts the poem to represent a distorted echo of the words. The additional sounds were coded in #SonicPi.

The Words Start to Echo
With their pace
Own space
Own room to roam
To speak
To elevate
To teach

In APPLAUS!, 362,880 distinct colorations of a #sudoku solution provide the serreal patterns for 4 up-tempo contrapuntal rhythmic 'voices,’ performed by 4 persons clapping their hands.

A complete, unabridged rendition of the piece lasts exactly one year. The recordings on the album (made with #SonicPi) traverse that year in ‘FF’: 87 out of 362,880 ‘runs’ were selected at regular intervals from their lexicographic sequence.

For my 22nd sketch of #Mathober2024 coded in LiveCodeLab & Sonicpi, CriticalCube will be using the 20th and 27th of #Mathober2024: Dodecicosacron & Critical. The visuals coded in LiveCodeLab is an attempt at the Dodecicosacron while the audio in SonicPi using the critical ratio used in schedule to compose the sound.

Poem

The concept of pace
Just knowing sometimes the colours or bright
And other times it needs to be dimmed
Needed to be simmed
With the spillover needing to be trimmed
As the Dodecicosacron impacts this place

SonicallyBrokenDown

For this week's Creative Code Challenge by @sableraph : Break It Down, Sounds and Visuals are going to be broken down within SonicPi.

This week's languages are Hydra & SonicPi with A Remixed soundtrack by Ramblin Intellect & I.
Editor BreakDown

For the Sounds and the Visuals, SonicPi is being livecoded to produce the audiovisual outcome.
The sound is broken down by SonicPi in an array of ways and then broken down again after it is coded

The visuals take the theme of "Break It Down" by using the SonicPi Editor and breaking it down through a mix of Hydra, OBS & 360 Video.

Poem

Breaking Down the elements
Making round the sentiments
Creating a town of sediments
Differences that are reminiscent
Sprinkling an aura
That is seen from distant
Instant as they are inkling
Itching to be
Itching to be free
As they are broken down
But still make their rounds
As they transform
From code to fauna?
From rows to flora?
Broken down like the sweat from a sauna
What elements shall now be born

Well, my previous instance seems to have died while changing hosts, so let's do the intro thing again.

I'm a #composer and #performer of #experimentalmusic (I play #mandolin, #violin, #uke, #synths, and do interactive computer programming in #MaxMSP, #PureData, #SuperCollider, and #SonicPi). College prof in #MusicTech and #composition, where I get to teach #VideoGameMusic among other things. #Runner, #TTRPG fan, and #coffee aficionado, and I speak both #English and a decent amount of #French.

#Cybersyn #liveCoding #logo #sonicPi #Hydra

#ElectronicMusicking

As mentioned in the past, I’ve been conducting informal, longterm, fieldwork on learning through electronic music.
I’ve been trying a number of tools, devices, and instruments. Some, like #SonicPi, are open and really push the learning process. Others are commercial products which create interesting networks through their userbase. My favourite of these might be #Bitwig.
So, I welcome news
@polarity of a “player mode” for its Grid system.
