Can anyone recommend an adult toothpaste that's not mint flavoured (or menthol)? Ideally with fluoride although that's not a deal-breaker either way.
I've now worn my noise-canceling headphones several times when commuting. They take me to a dreamlike state where I see other people but forget about them. It's a somewhat strange feeling.
After I've started experimenting with the headphones, I've also noticed how some sounds are surprisingly loud when I don't wear the phones. Leafblower sound isn't new to me but now I seem to pay way more attention to it. And just today I was sitting in the social facilities of our department and was suddenly amazed how loud the air conditioning is.
I'm still figuring out when and how sensory input is too much and how it affects me. Today, after giving two lectures back to back, I noticed I'm exhausted. I'm slowly starting to understand that when I'm tired, I'm easily overwhelmed. Fortunately, I had my noise-cancelling headphones with me. I put my current favorite record on as I left the office. Oh, this peaceful bubble of mine. Now I'm sitting in a bus and feeling way more comfortable than I would've felt if I didn't wear these phones.
It seems to be #Migraine season, it's been nine days in a row so far. Apart from the headache, it's #Hypersensitivity to light and sound and #Fatigue. Bleh...

I'm curious if there are any hashtags that can be followed to help warn people with auditory sensitivities about painful high pitched noises that happen in movies, tv shows, video games, music, or any other form of media that incorporates audio into it's format.
Stuff like this warns about flashing lights and stuff for people that may suffer from epilepsy, but it doesn't warn for painful noises for people who would be sensitive to this, and knowing in advance whether or not something is going to feel like having nails driven into your ear lobes would be pretty handy.
If not, I think we should start a hashtag so that people can keep up with and update others when they encounter something that has painful sounds.
For example, the latest episode of #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds was painful enough to make me scream in pain last night. So you might want to be on the lookout for Season 2 Episode 4: The Lotus Eaters.
Please boost this, because I think it's a good discussion to have.
This one I guess was harder for my friends to get cause they kept thinking this was to do with the checkout. This is not the checkout.
Sometimes when I'm shopping there's some loud beeping and it's really frustrating to deal with. Now, I've never actually cried in public but holy crap if it doesn't make me feel awful.
