Martin Place Station and it feels wrong for it not have the three station names in Glorious Seventies. And for the carriage not to smell at some level of human sweat #SydneyMetro
I am now on a train. Hell yeah train. Seats deprioritised, standing is the thing. Did we mention acceleration? Cop this shit #SydneyMetro
#SydneyMetro please redesign this station with a better understanding of visual field perception.
Next to me, also pretending to drive the robot train, was a man about 10 years older than me, out with his wife.
"Beautiful. I enjoyed that. I'm so proud of my city." he said as we all got off at Central.
There are a few wayfinding/multi-modal inconsistencies with the new metro opening. I'm kind of surprised tbh.
Exhibit A: bus interchanging at Crows Nest. Are the bus stops on Willoughby Road considered part of the station precinct or not?
The shiny Crows Nest station brochure says yes, it's only 150m through some lovely new open space. Here's a little purple walking route.
The bus route map at the station however disagrees. The quite frequency 115 that stops there is not shown, leaving a rather noticeable gap in bus service to the North.
My personal pref is include it, it's super useful and more frequent/has longer hours of service than most of the routes on that map. But I am surprised there isn't at least opening day consistency.
YouTuber: “So this is the first new train line in the CBD since 1979…”
Me: Wow, 25 years!
Rodd: Do that math again.

Thanks for the zero sleep #SydneyMetro. Apparently our building was missed in the letterbox drop with notification of noisy all night works and respite offer They insist a letterbox drop is the only way this can be delivered and they aren’t looking for any alternatives. Apart from anything else, this is the inner west where mailboxes are robbed all the bloody time!

This is interesting. Apparently Sydney Metro have decided to promote Barangaroo metro station as having a ferry interchange.
See this post from the Transport Minister's linkedin.
A quick look at the location of the wharves and metro station, they're over 600m walk from each other.
Wynyard station is literally closer to the wharves than Barangaroo and I haven't seen it promoted as a ferry interchange.
Am I missing something here!?
How the hell did this happen at #SydneyMetro??
Conflict of interest much!
