Pdf-extract-API

I've been bitten by yet another bug in #Celery. What are my options in a #Django world if I would potentially move away?
Requirements:
- multiple queues or task priorities
- scheduling multiple, independent tasks at once
- task chains that allow me to define another (group of) tasks to be scheduled on success and on failure of a task
- maintained codebase
- #Django 4.2 support
- #Redis and/or #PostgreSQL as brokers and result backends
- in-process execution of tasks in unit tests

I finally finished a new post for my blog. Not that it took me so long to actually write it, but more that I couldn't force myself to find the time for writing and then also finishing it!
The post is about an approach to #distribute tasks procession more evenly among users using #RabbitMQ,#Celery and #FastAPI, while staying in #Python. I had not had the chance yet to actually stress test the solution, but so far it seems to work. Please shoot me your feedback/comments!

hrdina.me · User Based Or Dynamic Celery QueuesIntroduction Did you know that RabbitMQ processes tasks based on First In - First Out? I guess so, but what if that does not fit your needs? Consider this example: User A sends 30.000 tasks to the universal queue “UberQueue” and then User B sends 500 tasks to the very same queue. RabbitMQ will receive all tasks alright and start sending them out to workers. However, tasks from User B will only be processed after all 30.
