"A bipartisan bill introduced at the Statehouse this year would require private insurers to cover the cost of follow-up diagnostic tests if doctors have concerns. Federal law already requires insurers to pay the entire cost of annual mammograms for women over 40. But that requirement refers only to the initial visit — not any additional steps needed to diagnose or rule out cancer."

This has been sitting in a House Committee since Jan 14, 2025 and hasn't budged an inch. It needs to be fast-tracked when they return to session next January!

This right here is bullshit. If this were a Democrat lawmaker instead of the leader of the ultra right wing Freedom f'ing Caucus, they would have held an ethics investigation a year ago when word of this first got out. Instead, they left them on the goddamn ballot, reelected him, and let him serve a full year term! Bastards!

I have such admiration for this man! We need to continue to be brave, speak out, We need to use our voices while we still can.

It is critically important for me to note that the atrocities of the Holocaust did not occur in a vacuum... In that moment I was given on Jan. 27, I chose to name only a few of the policies that are a dangerous echo of what took place in prewar Nazi Germany. I knew there would be pushback. People in positions of power don’t like to be challenged."
