Petit trivia sur #SilentHill2 : dans une interview en japonais au journal Famitsu, Masahiro Ito expliquait son influence pour la création de l'antagoniste principal du jeu, maintenant mythique : « à l'époque, je regardais beaucoup de films d'horreur sur mon ordinateur. Une fois, je me suis endormi devant l'un d'eux et j'ai cauchemardé que VLC venait me tuer. »

So Silent Hill 2 Remake is not looking like crap? Colored me surprised. I'm more apt to listen to someone like MVG that gives a fair review admiting there are flaws on the game than a lot of gaming journalists giving it a 10/10. Let's not forget, Konami did have that review bootcamp with MGSV: https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2015/08/24/metal-gear-solid-v-the-phantom-pain-style-review-events-are-part-of-the-problem/

I'll be honest, this game had an uphill battle to convince skeptics like me mainly due to:

1. Trying to revive a (mostly) dead franchise from a publisher that burned its fanbase and is trying to woo them back without any good games yet to prove they're not just releasing souless garbage.

2. Being made by a western developer with a mixed review reputation with their games.

3. Just plain old high expectations for remaking a game considered one of the best, if not, THE best horror games ever made.
