Starting a fresh new profile, let's introduce me.

I'm Nicolas from north of France, I like old computers, I have a collection of #amiga, #C64, #amstrad, #atari. I also like #computerhistory and started to code emulators, I made a #teletype, #altair and #Intel8080 emulator, and also a #Z80 then a #trs80 emulator coded in #rust. Currently experimenting with #Zig, and #riscv64 assembly.

Someone was asking on IRC how to do #BASIC cross development on an #Amstrad CPC; as in: edit your BAS in a PC and easily load it on an Amstrad CPC.

Upgraded #Linux on #Amstrad E3 from v6.6 to v6.12.4. While at it, it got also newer rootfs with more current glibc and GCC and whatever.

People ask, what can you do with only 32 MB RAM? Well, at least connecting to a telnet #BBS works fine. Unfortunately the internal modem is of no use over here but Ethernet dongle helps.

All those discounts and "creator day", etc; I feel left out because my games are always completely free

There are #amstrad, #zxspectum, #msx, #c64, #dos games (as some more!). You can play them on an emulator, of course.

Some also have Collector Edition in the actual media for the system (which can't be free because they are physical editions, I don't make the rules of the universe!), if you have the hardware.

The first stage of my CPC ZERO build - a hypothetical 6502 based Amstrad CPC taking inspiration from the prototype 6502 board and the final Z80 based CPC464.

I'm using period appropriate hardware, wire wrapping the build, and solving design challenges the way they had to in the eighties.
