howdy, folks - it's been a bit since our last #hachyderm infra check in.

stuff in motion:

- ditching #terraform cloud & tf for #opentofu and #atlantis. we are just about to import our dev environment and put it through its paces.
- bringing #postgresql under ansible management. the team has been doing awesome work, and we've started to spin up dev nodes using the new playbooks. soon: production!
- moving #DNS zones away from AWS route 53. we chose bunny DNS as our provider and have been doing basic tests in dev. we'll likely prep our records for production this week with a plan for a cutover in one of the coming weekends.

and if you filled out our volunteer form and haven't heard from me in a bit - you're still on the list. we'll onboard a new batch of folks in the next couple of weeks.

A flooded quarry in #Wales, a mysterious millionaire and dream of a new #Atlantis
Their project is called #Deep, site was chosen after a global search for perfect location to build and test #underwater accommodation, which will enable them to establish a “permanent human presence” under the sea from #2027. In Deep’s sentinels, underwater units, people will be able to stay inside for up to 28 days – though hope is that this could one day be extended to months and beyond.

There are a several recommendations on watch order of the overlapping seasons of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. I just alternate between them based on air date, with the SG-1 episode first. It works pretty well.

Before bed time, I'm going to watch the Atlantis double episode "The Storm" and "The Eye", two pretty fun episodes in the middle of S1.

After this point, most of Atlantis S1 aired before SG-1 started up again, so I can watch Atlantis for a bit.

The Gela II wreck, which lies about 1,000 feet underwater, is remarkably well-preserved. Underwater archaeologists first investigated the site in the 1990s, but it was in 2015 and 2017 that significant discoveries were made. Full colored illustration with a top down point of view. It's a big underwater area with rows of colorful corals, anemones and algae clearly placed by someone to create a garden with different areas to sit and walk around quietly, decorated with ancient Greek vibes. On the top of the image there is a gazebo with a little altar and an orange shell, it looks important. At both sides there are steps to come down to the main level. Following the path, we enter the center of the garden, where we find several stone benches to sit on and another arrangement of corals in the very core of this area. Further down, more corals and some steps to follow the paths at both sides of the map, the same statue of a man with a trident and shield looks upon these paths. On the bottom of the illustration there's a sort of altar or podium made of a giant iridiscent shell and big corals. All over the garden, at night, there are lots of little fluorescent green speckles floating around.
