Does anyone face problems with the distinction between a “record/document title” and a “file name”? The former being metadata, and the latter the name of the file/document as it manifests in the file system?

Is this not a distinction your systems make? Do your users not recognise this distinction?

So it looks like I’m going to #IRMS24 in Brighton, UK. It’ll be my first #recordsmanagement conference. I’m curious as to how the vibe will compare to #archives and #digipres conferences. But mostly, as someone who’s watched the Colin Firth / Jennifer Ehle version of Pride and Prejudice a gazillion times, I’m constantly saying to myself, “Oooh, I want to go to Brighton.” Haha, but in this case “All the Officers” will be records officers

Almost end of the day, but three things today:
1) edited an internal standard on retention schedules, 2) worked on requirements for a #digitalPreservation system, 3) presented to managers on roles needed for #recordsManagement functions in #M365. #DP3 / #RM3

Impressed by people posting their #DP3 (three #digipres tasks) of the day. I am not ambitious enough to try, but it also makes me envious. My days are more often filled with #recordsmanagement tasks, with just a side order of digipres.
