The PC classic Lego Island is now playable in a web browser! Let's check it out!
Fans of Big Fish Games? anyone?
I play "Fates Carnival" every few years. Enough dead brain cells by then it is still a challenge. Basic point and click hidden object except the story line is actually interesting, but the bonus game puzzles are freaking GENIUS. And wandering around an abandoned carnival is pretty fun.
.....anyone?

Sniper Elite 5 is $10 on Steam if you like to sneak around and kill Nazis, this time in France.
I'm having a ball.
OK, Sniper Elite 4 is my jam. Sneaking around, sniping from a distance, killing Nazis. Love it.
Big thanks to the people that recommended it to me.
It's incredible, but this great #platformgame in #pixelart ...is made using an engine to make only #rpg games!
Titled Trinity Blade is now on indiexpo... totally FREE!!
Windows is still the N°1 gaming platform by far.
The thing is, how much until then it becomes an alternative rather than the norm. SteamOS has been progressing a lot but online games anti-cheat is its weakness.
Unfortunately that’s not entirely up to Valve.
Frederic struggling with the medium
I previously wrote about Frederic: Resurrection of Music. I’m glad I did, because I had forgotten that the game is also available on Nintendo Switch, where we can play with touch controls. It makes our life easier. However, since I bought the game on Steam anyway, I decided to install it today and give it a try with the computer keyboard. It was quite the hellish experience! It’s so annoying to play. I read that, instead of using ‘asdf’ for the left hand and ‘wer’ for the right hand, people used ‘hjk’ for the right hand while keeping ‘asdf’ for the left hand. As for me, I hit all the wrong notes, thank you very much. Maybe I also hit all the right notes in the wrong places and the wrong notes in every other place. The fact is, I didn’t get the Musicality result at the end of the level and therefore couldn’t move on to the next one.
Enter the mouse! Do you think it’s ridiculous to play a rhythm game with a mouse? I agree, but I hit those notes, all right!? I cleared the game on ‘too easy’ and ‘normal’ difficulty. Now I’m working on the ‘hard’ mode. If the Steam Deck has touch screen support, maybe it could be a nice game to add to your library. It’s very fun, if you happen to enjoy Chopin and don’t mind weird remixes. I found them very refreshing, albeit a bit nonsensical. I didn’t know I could use the mouse for musical things. It was almost like experiencing a very hard boss fight using the controller: shaky hands, and a slight discomfort in my right hand. Serves me right. I didn’t pay much attention to the story this time, but there’s a little story between each level, fully voiced. I still enjoy this game, even after all these years.
It’s a bummer that the game left the Apple store for some reason. The developer, Forever Entertainment, is still registered there but the game isn’t available anymore.
The musical instrument mouse was effective for the normal difficulty during Nocturne Es-dur Op. 9 Nr. 2, but not for the hard difficulty, which required some keys to be pressed simultaneously and featured speedy transitions that a mouse simply couldn’t handle. There are limits! Bottom line, playing with a mouse is possible to an extend, especially if you’re just aiming to see this short game through. I could say it was a cozy game if not for the hassle with the controls.
Fans of
Kerbal Space Program
got briefly excited when reports came out that some indie game veterans could take charge of the Kerbal Space Program franchise. But is there even a reason to have hope? Find out here: https://youtu.be/dMi34sQ0iUk
I'm all in for an #RTX 5080 for $1400.
You know why? Because the farther they put their graphic cards away from gamers, the more room the mainstream and value market will have for alternatives.
There is a reason why the #SteamDeck and consoles are so popular for gaming: you don't need to spend THAT kind of money to play #videogames.
I had a multi hour conversation with Kitten Space Agency developer and CEO of Rocketwerkz, Dean Hall. No questions were off the table and you can watch it all here: https://youtu.be/E-F_pGAn_MM
This is my last video for 2024. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Six months after the Kerbal Space Program 2 studio was shut down, former Creative Director Nate Simpson breaks his silence in an honest and very vulnerable video:

Today (December 3) in 1993, Duke Nukem II was released for DOS. It was a vast improvement over the original Duke game, and it would be three more years until Duke would go 3D. Duke II is one of my all-time favorite 2D platformers (maybe my top favorite one) -- it's a total blast of a game. You can play Duke Nukem II via DOSGames.com (DOSBox) here: https://www.dosgames.com/game/duke-nukem-2
