Curious what the #PKM community thinks of the Johnny Decimal system[1]?

I came across this years ago and it recently resurfaced.

Is anyone using this in their PKM software and successfully built workflows around it? It seems like an alternative to PARA and Zettelkasten.

During #immigration, her #headdress was #seized.

For the #Amazonian woman who lives in #Pará, the #cocar (headdress) is not just an ornament, but a symbol of her identity, struggle and culture, which were hurt at the time. She pointed out that, as well as #racism being hard enough to deal with, suffering discrimination without being able to react and just letting it happen is a distressing experience.

“My headdress is my great ally in my struggles, it’s part of me. And since the origin of everything, it belongs to us, and that’s how it is for all native peoples”, she shared.

#PARA is a great concept but it's too orderly for me..

I'm not going anywhere with this right now just tossing out thoughts..

Is #writing content for your #website a long-term project, or an area of focus? I'm especially interested in how #PARA people would categorise this!

Mostly asking as running your own website can be considered both... especially if it's a long-term thing!

So I'm gearing up to do a lot of #reading & #research & after being in #Obsidian for the past year I've resurrected my Notion as my hub.

The last couple of days I've been neck-deep in making databases & capture systems so that my process is easily accessible and functional (aka #SecondBrain or #PARA method).

ANYWAY - I'm quite chuffed with myself because I named my system Pinky (the capture) and The Brain (the second brain...get it?...get it?)

The analogy is just so perfect

It's taken a few days, but I think I'll be able to move my full org-mode workflow to using PARA by next week.

It's a change but it's a good one...

Not my personal method of choice (mostly because I don't want to separate notes/archive from todos) but nevertheless a clever way of separating things.
