Anyone recommend guides on upcycling disposable electronics into at least fun gadgets and doodads, if not something useful. Things like the disposable vaporizers or one-time use electronics, *disposable" electronics, and things like that I might be able to scrounge as trash. A living wiki like guide of known electronics and a list of the major components and how to break them down would be a neat thing.

I want a small low stakes low cost project.

#Federal charges against key participants involved in #Oakland #Waste processing proposal at old #Army base not helping progress of project amidst detritus, disputes, bureaucratic bogus biz bs, and constant contractual crap

Essentially article reveals "#California Waste Solutions" is not necessarily providing solutions, but local govt is pretty good at waste?

While city and developer feud, both fail to follow thru and serve #WestOakland #Community, as residents, #ratepayers and #taxpayers suffer during decades delayed deferred dreams of improved #recycling facility that just seems to #recycle hopes and turn them into more cockroach attracting stink.

#TrumpLies: “You can’t take them down because the environmentalists don’t let you bury the blades.”

#FactCheck: #Wind turbine blades are designed for durability to withstand hurricane-force winds. However, the #US already has the ability to #recycle most #WindTurbine materials, acc/to the Dept of #Energy. It issued a report in Jan that found 90% of wind turbines can be recycled using existing infrastructure, while new strategies & innovative recycling methods will be needed to tackle the rest.

Today’s #mosstodon is my #totebag on a #mossy tree stump. I made the tote bag myself..
I sewed it from old fabric scraps from my friend and other #recycle materials from the thrift store.
I have done #embroidery for weeks, maybe months, by adding a tons of French knots to this.
I chose to photograph this with #moss and I feel like it could have been a part of the tree from the very start.. it goes really well together.

Any ideas for where to recycle old pillows and an old world-map globe? The pillows are stained and dirty and worn out - they're not fit for donation. But I hate to just chuck them in a landfill. The globe can be reused for crafts, apparently, but I don't want to reuse it - I want it out of my house. Waste Explorer just gives me blank looks when I ask about these items. #recycle #wastedisposal

#Introduction
I've been on Mastodon for quite some time now, but under another name. I started a new account because I decided to take a step back from world news, collapse, climate change, hunger, war, fascism and inequality.
In short less doom and gloom and a little bit of positive small scale projects that might also inspire or help others.

With this account I'll focus more on my day to day life, the things I do and make.

Of course I sometime still will post concerning subjects that provoke my rage or frustration. Sorry, it's not all moonshine and roses.

Having said that, I've a broad range of subjects that have my interest, so hopefully something useful will stick with you.

From my profile text:

#Collapse aware person, born @ 320 ppm CO2, world population 3.1 billion.

Fighting depression and #sadness by doing some positive and small scale things that might help people.
