@aurynn the problem is that #vendors have neither interest nor incentive to work with 3rd party #ROMs like @LineageOS nor @GrapheneOS.

@bohwaz @punkfairie @ajsadauskas @JessTheUnstill @tomiahonen That's exactly the problem, cuz #KaiOS nee #FirefoxOS was a good and solid basis not just for #LowEnd-Devices but could've been excellent for a more #secure mobile OS, as it has good potential for #sandboxing and #KISS-principle'd #Apps that are lean and efficient.

Noone's gonna build an #App for a platform that is essentially a rounding error from the start!

"Never" is a song by American rock band #Heart, released on August 29, 1985, as the second single from the band's eponymous eighth studio album (1985). It was written by #HollyKnight, Gene Bloch (from the band #Device) and "Connie" (a pseudonym for #AnnWilson, #NancyWilson, and #SueEnnis). "Never" is a #rockSong with an uplifting lyric to a person who has been discouraged by love. Like the preceding "#WhatAboutLove".

So, after many years of loyal service, my Windows 11 gaming rig lost its "Asus ROG Strix B550-F (Wi-Fi)" motherboard Bluetooth support all of a sudden mid-december, and I waited until I had enough time to dig into this.

Driver update did nothing. BIOS upgrade did nothing. Resetting BIOS settings did nothing. Ubuntu live USB confirmed the issue wasn't Windows-related.

All I had to do was to unplug it.

I'll be cross-linking to similar issues for my fellows. #bluetooth #device #republicofgamers

The big #museum #mystery: and you could help so fast! 1000 thanks! 🥰

We found this item in our #farmlife museum but *nobody* of our staff has an idea what it is or what you could make with it. Alsace, 19-20th century.

Solution: The best guess came quickly from @Ardeija: a hand #mangler en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mangle_( and here by @NilaJones : mastodon.online/@NilaJones@zer

shower thought:

while i myself am right handed and do not have to worry about this... i have been looking for a new mirrorless camera, and i have realized that literally every camera i have ever owned or even seen was designed to be held and operated with the right hand of the user. never ever have i seen a left-handed camera. why? if parts were made modularly enough, it wouldn't be impossible by any means.

this is not just limited to cameras. my ergonomic logitech mouse, my smartphone, walkman, and even hand tools. it's all, and i mean all, designed to be operated with the right hand. of course for us right-handed people its super ergonomic and i've never really thought about this before, but how is this societally ok?

we are prohibiting a good chunk of the population from easily using modern devices simply because they have "the wrong hand". its quite absurd and silly really. ableist. this is an accessibility problem, there has gotta be a better way.
