Seeking suggestions. I have an old Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, model TF201. Any suggestions for a simple Linux distribution? Will I need to find and save drivers? Is this worth trying? I also have the keypad that goes with it, the touch screen died after only a couple years or so, but the keypad makes it usable.

Note, I'm a newbie to Linux and it befuddled me quite easy, so I need plain language. I installed Mint on an old computer but have not mastered it and walked away out of frustration. I know I need to get back on it, October is coming up fast.

Anforderung: bißchen Textverarbeitung und Tabellenkalkulation (einfachere Berechnungen), Internet natürlich und Bildbearbeitung (Darktable). Eher klein und leicht, externer Monitor vorhanden.

Ich hab vor vielen Jahren schon mal Linux verwendet, aber nie installiert o.ä.

Coucou masto, j'ai une question Linux. Je suis sur Kde /Kubuntu et bien que tout marche mais y'a un soucis où certaines application refuse d'appliquer la disposition de clavier du système. Genre steam, signal etc mais parcontre firefox pas de soucis. J'ai essayé de fouiller sur des forums mais je comprends pas trop le language des devs x) et pas envie de toucher à des choses sensibles et tout casser.
J'utilise Plasma / wayland. Le fichier qui liste le profile est bien en Fr donc je comprends pas l'insistance du qwerty.
C'est un peu relou mais je peux quand meme utiliser le pc trql.
Merci d'avance si vous avez des conseils / d'avoir lu.

I would appreciate some advice on a #Linux #distro recommendation:
The Device: A 2012 laptop with a 3rd Gen Core i3, 4 GB of RAM, and a spinning HDD (maybe I'll upgrade in the future)
The person it's for: My mom, not very tech savvy, is using Windows 10, will need a replacement for when 10 goes EOL Oct. 2025. Has used Windows Vista, 8, and 10. Everything she does is doable within basic apps like a web browser, simple office suite, or pleasant desktop apps; Linux alternatives will work perfectly.
What the distro has to be: LTS, simple to maintain, have a workable Windows-like interface, not be Ubuntu. Needs to run smoothly on the provided specs.
Any ideas and help are appreciated. Consider boosting for more perspectives.
