People share (a)gpl code on github. Github is not available everywhere (even read access I think).

Does that break the GPL?

After months of procrastinating on it, I finally clean installed Windows 11 and Debian 12 (Linux) on my personal laptop. I intend to use Debian by default as my daily OS and dual boot to Windows if needed. If you want a clean install of W11, check out Windows Utility (Chris Titus Tech) and its MicroWin functionality. Oh and Ventoy is awesome: a single flash drive with all the .iso installers you need, readily bootable.

#GNU and the #FSF have been fighting for copyleft the past decades. But if you look at their financial statement, you’ll see that their paid staff are just a dozen people. All the others are volunteers.

The Tor project alone has more employees than the FSF. Github has almost 6000 employees. Six thousand.

So the advocates for #copyleft must be us. We can’t point at the FSF and say “they didn’t do it”. They provide resources. We have to use them to protect our freedom as users.
